Outstanding set of three large, fancy, desirable trilobites in matrix. This magnificent piece hails from the Atlas Mountains in the Sahara Desert, in Morocco. It makes an excellent display piece or fossil specimen.

Trilobites were hard-shelled sea-dwelling arthropods that lived and died before dinosaurs ever existed. They all have three longitudinal lobes--hence the name "trilobite". The Moroccan trilobites date from the Devonian period, 395-345 million years ago.

Mosasaurus was a huge aquatic lizard that grew to a length of about 60 feet, with a 6-foot-long skull. This beast swam about during the Cretaceous period, 70-65 million years ago.
