Description: This is James F Cooper’s personal copy of Junius: Stat Nominis Umbra signed by him in the upper right hand corner of opening page. Junius was a book of letters used by “Gentlemen” to help understand events of the times. His letters exposed a lot of problems of the day and influenced kings and the ministry. Few in history have influenced so many and sparked an interest in such real concept of liberty. This 229 year old book received a lot of use by James Femimore Cooper and shows the wear. There are a few stains and a few lose pages.
